The Assam Pollution Control Board on June 17, 2026, issued notification on Validity of CCA/CTO/Authorization.
The State Pollution Control Board has partially modified its earlier office orders to revise the renewal framework for Consent to Operate (CTO), Consent to Establish/Authorization (CCA), for Stone Crushing Units and LAMC Bee Hive Coke Oven/Crushing Units.
Under the updated decision, such consents/authorizations may now be renewed for either 1 year or 5 years, subject to strict adherence to stipulated environmental conditions.
Additionally, all Stone Crushing Units are required to submit a GST “No Dues Certificate” annually in June for the preceding financial year. This requirement is aimed at ensuring compliance with tax obligations while maintaining statutory approvals under key environmental laws, including the Air Act, Water Act, and Environment Protection Act.
The Board has clarified that submission or acceptance of the GST certificate does not amount to verification or endorsement of tax compliance by the Board, and the responsibility remains with the unit concerned.
